If you have followed my hair vlogs you’ll know that I don’t own a comb and haven’t for years, I use my fingers to detangle and the palm of my hand, I’ve learned, makes for a great smoothing brush.
These are the only styling tools I use to create my tuck and roll, a versatile upsweep that can go from retro to classy and chic.
Tuck and rolls can take literally 5 minutes to create if your curls are shoulder length but still there are a few basic rules you should follow.
1. Begin with stretched out hair
2. Choose a good moisturizer to help smooth your hair out, you will want to go with a product that will aid in giving your hair some stretch
3. Bobby pins and clips are essential for the hold. You may want to use with the larger size pins, especially if your hair is very thick.
Happy tucking and rolling!
