Not knowing what to say, or being so idea-rich and time-poor that you seldom create memorable content shouldn’t be what holds you back.
These days we’re expected to keep showing up, make what we know visible, and turn years of experience into content people can recognise and remember.
The algorithm wants us to keep doing more and more and more.
But more is not a strategy. You can say no to the algorithm and yes to your own rhythm once you’ve taken the time to work out the basics:
Your voice. Your visual point of view. Your way of creating — not more content, just better content.
That’s what
The Content Residency
gives you space to work on…
Through story, conversation and practical exercises, award-winning actor, producer and storyteller Wendell Manwarren will help you recognise the stories already sitting inside your life and work — the moments, observations and experiences worth sharing — and show you how to shape them into stories that hold people’s attention.

Then I take that thinking into the business.
Using selected parts of my Brand Voice framework, we’ll connect your story and point of view then build a simple AI system around it.
You’ll learn how to give AI the context it needs to work with your voice, and turn one strong story, idea or observation into multiple pieces of content without starting from scratch every time.

People are forming an impression of your brand before they read a word.
In the photographs you choose. The fonts and colours you use. The way you shoot a product, crop an image, style a Reel or put a carousel together.
Jeunanne Alkins, award-winning creative director and designer, will show you how to make visual choices work together so the content you create feels like it belongs to your business and not anybody else’s.

You came here to work on your content. It’s time to make some.
Before filming begins, photographer Kerwyn Chambers will share practical lessons on getting better footage from your phone.
Then you’ll pair up with another Residency participant for a filming challenge around The Commons. It’s time to shoot your best shots.
Our videographer will be on hand as you work, while a professional photographer captures the behind-the-scenes of the day.

Real conversations. Lasting Impact
Different businesses. Different stages. A shared desire for honest conversation, fresh perspective, and a little more room to breathe

And, because this is The Commons, you won’t have done any of it alone. You’ll have spent the day around the table with other women building businesses too — eating, talking, trying things, swapping ideas and making connections that don’t have to end when the Residency does.

So for three Fridays in November, I’m opening up a few Content Club mornings for anyone from our Residency who wants to join me.

No. That would rather defeat the point.
You don’t need to arrive knowing your brand voice, having a beautiful feed or feeling brilliant on camera. The Residency is where we work on those things.
Depends what you mean by beginner.
People will come in at different levels, and that’s absolutely fine. What matters is that you have experience, ideas and something worth saying — and you want to get better at turning all of that into content that sounds, looks and feels like you.
Err, no. Will you hear from experts helping you work on the foundations of your content? Absolutely.
But there are practical sessions, lunch around the table, outdoor filming, conversation and, I suspect, loads of laughter. It’s The Commons. We’re not doing seven hours in a chair.
Less painful than you’re imagining. You’ll get a short practical lesson on filming with your phone before the challenge begins, and you’ll work with another participant rather than being abandoned in front of a camera and told to perform. The point is to get more comfortable by actually doing it.
Basic familiarity and a ChatGPT account will do just fine.
Your phone and laptop are the essentials. Before the Residency, we’ll send an email with any further details.
Please do. Most rooms get much more interesting when everyone doesn’t already know everyone.
There are only 14 people, you’ll eat together, work together and pair up during the filming challenge. You will not be left standing awkwardly beside the coffee wondering who to talk to.
If people encounter your business through Instagram, Google, your website, email, video or anything else with a screen attached to it, content is already part of your business.
Product businesses, consultants, professional services, hospitality, creatives and brick-and-mortar businesses are all welcome.
‘Life be lifing” sometimes.
Please read the cancellation and transfer terms before reserving your seat so you know exactly what your options are.

Before I built The Commons and started hosting women at my-home-turned-community-space, I spent years as an in-demand C-suite consultant helping businesses think through organizational communications and how that connected to business strategy.
Back then I built a seven-figure agency.
Today, I work with founders and ambitios business owners on planning, digital offers, online business systems and AI.
This is the kind of space I wish existed when I first started out as an entrepreneur. It didn’t so I created it. And I called it The Commons.
The Content Residency is one of The Commons’ signature events: a few uninterrupted hours to sit with what matters, enjoy each other’s company and learn + lime in a sun-filled bungalow, tucked away in nature.
Founders over 40
I know from experience that founders over 40 need foundational learning because they already have an in-built magic: 10-30 years of expertise waiting to be tapped into and shared.
The Content Residency brings together the best experts to help you understand content from both the story driven and visual frameworks. There something even more intentional.
But you shouldn’t have to figure this part of your business out alone. The thinking gets better when smart women are in the room together.
