You know when you look at someone’s business and think, Wow, they\u2019ve got it all figured out<\/strong><\/em>?\u00a0<\/strong>That was me when I first started my small business, looking around at other foundeers with their polished, fully automated online skill based business.\u00a0<\/p>

It did not matter what they sold, somehow they had figured out how to turn their passion into profit, their knowledge into income and grow an online\u00a0 business.<\/p>

And even though when you look on, it feels like they have all the answers, let\u2019s be honest.<\/p>

\u00a0No one starts as \u00a0a Ms.-Know-It-All.\u00a0<\/p>

At least, I didn\u2019t.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

I started taking a look at my knowledge base and turning\u00a0 my talent for content marketing into a digital product that I could offer online and earn revenue for my efforts.<\/p>

It was a simple, online product\u2014priced at $7.\u00a0<\/p>

\u00a0I could have easily started with a service, a subscription, or even a course (all of which came later in my journey).<\/p>

But at the time, it was just one thing. One idea, one skill, one business model. That\u2019s all I could handle in the beginning.<\/p>

When you’re just starting to think about your first online skill based business, it’s a big deal.<\/p>

It’s like waking up from a deep sleep, realising there\u2019s an entire world out there that you can be a part of.<\/p>

It\u2019s the first taste of what it\u2019s like to make $$$ online.<\/p>

And sure, your first offer might not fly off the shelves \u00a0(spoiler alert: it usually doesn\u2019t)<\/strong>\u2014<\/p>

But it teaches you so much about the process of creating value, serving a specific audience, and putting something out into the world.<\/p>

Here’s the thing:\u00a0you\u2019re not going to get it perfect the first time<\/em>. \ud83d\udd34<\/p>

The Profit Pyramid Is An Essential Framework In An Online Skills Based Business\u00a0<\/h2>

And honestly, if you’re not 100% in love with the process of learning and improving from there, then building an online skill based business might not be for you.<\/p>

Because at the heart of everything, the first offer is the work of testing, adjusting, and perfecting your approach\u2014until you can finally scale.<\/p>

And that\u2019s why you need a framework. Enter:\u00a0the Profit Pyramid.<\/b><\/p>

Now, before you roll your eyes at the word “pyramid”\u00a0(trust me, I get it)<\/em>, hear me out.<\/p>

This isn\u2019t some “get-rich-quick” scheme you\u2019ve seen a million times.<\/p>

I come from a background in journalism and corporate communications, where the “pyramid” concept<\/a> <\/strong>was used all the time.<\/p>

It was a tool to structure messaging in a way that makes sense\u2014one that could be clear, intentional, and effective.<\/p>

And for me, bringing that framework into the entrepreneurial world felt\u2026 well, right.<\/p>

A Useful Example\u00a0<\/h3>

It\u2019s \u00a0familiar method that makes a ton of sense for growing and scaling offers in your online skill based business<\/p>

But a pyramid is more than just a structure\u2014it\u2019s a method that\u2019s designed to help you approach all your offers in a manner\u00a0 that allows you to earn money online.\u00a0<\/p>

Exhibit A:\u00a0<\/strong>I wanted to draw a\u00a0TIGHTER<\/strong>\u00a0box around certain non – negotiables in my life and business. So I went all in, became a digital product creator.<\/p>

I began by learning how to \u00a0crack the online code for multiple revenue stream that started\u00a0 with me learning how to build and sell digital products online.<\/p>

I had, and still have very thick lines around my levels of resilience.<\/p>

Maybe you have Sharpie-marker thick lines too. But I\u2019m going to make it all easy \u00a0today.<\/p>

Let\u2019s talk about step 1\ufe0f\u20e3 \u00a0and creating a digital offer in your skill based business.\u00a0<\/p>

Let’s begin with your lead magnet.<\/p>

Step 1 is your lead magnet.<\/span><\/p>

At the base of the pyramid, we start with something I find very familiar: a lead magnet.<\/p>

If you\u2019re unsure what this is, think of it as a\u00a0 “gift” you give away in exchange for an email address like a:<\/p>

\u2705\ufe0f\u00a0\u2192 C<\/strong>hecklist.<\/p>

\u2705\ufe0f\u00a0\u2192 T<\/strong>emplate.<\/p>

\u2705\ufe0f\u00a0\u2192 C<\/strong>heat sheet \u00a0etc.<\/p>

Something that solves an immediate problem for your ideal customer.\u00a0<\/p>

Go ahead and think about it for a second then I’ll share one of my own examples.<\/p>

Ok, did you begin to think about that gift ? What is could be for you and more importantly, what it could mean for your ideal customer?\u00a0<\/p>

Here’s my example.<\/p>

In my AI ecosystem of products,\u00a0YOU NEED AI\u00a0<\/strong>was\u00a0 one of my lead magnets.<\/p>

\u00a0At the time, it was a freebie.<\/p>

In\u00a0 exchange for an email address, a new subscriber got a collection of free structured AI prompts and a FREE \u00a0digital course \u00a0to help with the work flows in their businesses.<\/p>

It was a simple, valuable, and a perfect \u00a0FREE introduction to what came next.<\/p>

Now, if you don\u2019t have a lead magnet yet, don\u2019t overcomplicate it. This is where your brain jam begins.\u00a0\ud83d\udcaa\ud83c\udffc<\/strong><\/p>

Think about a problem your audience is struggling with.<\/p>

And ask yourself: \u201cWhat can you give them that would make their life easier in 5-15 minutes?\u00a0<\/p>

Get that into a downloadable format, and you\u2019re good to go.\u201d<\/p>

How To Earn Money Online Using Your Skills | Create A Micro Offer<\/b><\/h3>

Now that you\u2019ve got people on your email list from your lead magnet.\u00a0<\/p>

It’s time to introduce your first paid offer.\u00a0<\/p>

Remember to keep your goal at the front of your mind- you want\u00a0 an online skill based business model where you’re not trading time for money.<\/p>

So think of your first pid offer as a mini or micro offer.<\/strong><\/p>

As I suggested at the tippy top of the post, building a successful online skilled business is about starting at the base of the profit pyramid and ascending.<\/p>

I\u2019m not going to\u00a0 talk about\u00a0 funnels or even traffic sources, these are important.<\/p>

But for now, I want us to stick\u00a0 to \u00a0the offer itself.<\/p>

When you’re exploring the idea of an online business you’re going to see the word micro offer come up a lot.<\/p>

What is a micro offer?\u00a0<\/h3>

Micro-offers are low-ticket items\u2014anything from $10 to $50.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

T<\/strong><\/em>hey solve a specific problem in a short amount of time.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

A great example is my\u00a0AI Prompt Playbook.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>

It\u2019s not the be-all and end-all of learning about structured prompting , but it introduces small biz owners to some core fundamentals and includes:\u00a0<\/p>

    A high-ticket offer is your premium product or service.<\/span><\/p>

    You\u2019re working with your most dedicated clients and customers.<\/span><\/h3>

    The final tier in your pyramid is your continuity programme. <\/span><\/p>

    This is your <\/span>subscription, your membership, the ongoing value that keeps people coming back for more.<\/span><\/p>

    This is one way\u00a0 you get to create predictable, recurring revenue. <\/span><\/p>

    And let\u2019s be honest\u2014this is the holy grail for many online businesses.<\/span><\/p>

    You can also do it with repeating your core offer .<\/span><\/p>

    When you create a community of people who trust you and your work, they\u2019ll gladly pay for continued access to your content, support, and expertise.<\/span><\/p>

    This is where my offers really start to scale.<\/span><\/p>

    Is It Easy To Build An Online Skill Based Business?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>

    On\u00a0 Saturday, as I was drawing\u00a0 out the marketing structure for my business mentor, I realised how easy this had all become for me.<\/span><\/p>

    You don\u2019t have to reinvent the wheel each time. That\u2019s the beauty of the system.<\/span><\/p>
