Have you ever had a morning where you were so happy that you wondered if this was the kind of high that an addict seeks? Yesterday I got my fix of ecstasy, naturally. It came from doing one-on–one consults with my students, all subscribers to my social media membership platform, Simplify.
Over the last few months, I’ve been teaching a 5-module course on how to build systems that would help them automate the revenue streams of at least one part of their online business.
Once they follow the systems, tutorials, group coaching, videos and workbooks I’ve created and commit to the work, the end result is clear. They’ll be able to launch and create a passive revenue system, which can be replicated over and over again.
Yesterday, as I sorted through the thorny parts of the implementation that some were experiencing and leaned proudly into the breakthrough moments others had, something sucker punched me with its familiarity.
The secret to getting everything you want is BURIED IN DISCIPLINE.
And it is always GROUNDED IN THE ACTIONS you take to keep moving forward.
I know this feels un-breakthrough like but I have to tell you the journey from pivot to profit ‘ain’t’ easy! What matters most is to stop clinging to the old models. Stop believing that social media is where your business success begins and ends, and keep doing the systems-building work (right where you are), in spite of any disappointing pitfalls, missed deadlines while eating stressed-out from a tub of Haagen Daz ice-cream. (Anybody else guilty as charged?)
You do all this to get exactly to where you need to go.
Systems Help To Create Passive Income Streams
Some of my students are two months away from their big launch and their very first system. Others are 11 months out. The time doesn’t matter. Heart-to -heart, I believe that everyone must run their own race. When you’re creating something new as most of the group of 17 are, when you’re building a business model online that stands the test of time, it’s never a competition.
Everyone stands on the spot they’re supposed to be, even if it’s not for too long.
I’ve discovered that coaching smart, ambitious women makes me keenly aware of what it takes to succeed. It makes me believe that everything around us are tools. To get closer to where we want to go, we have to use the tools the correct way. Translation? You’ve got to commit the time and despite the discomfort in the now, keep moving forward!
That’s it! You just keep moving forward.
