When Others Are In Need Here’s Why It’s Important To Forward Pay Your Blessings

I ended last week with a good cup of hot chocolate, good vibes, and the results of good works and faith realized.

My heart literally leapt around in its cavity upon learning that my team and I won a digital PR contract. This was on the same day that I negotiated a Caribbean wide social media training session with a financial services firm and on the same day (last Wednesday was like HOT DANG) I sent off a new proposal to a multinational at pre-pandemic prices.

I should feel happy, and I am…BUT

This is 2021. Life in the blender where the highest peaks seem to be mushed together with the lowest lows.

And where I can’t be the only one who just wants to breathe. And where I can’t be alone in feeling massive pangs of anxiety when I pass by my favourite spots on eerily quiet streets only to spot chained doors knowing full well that a lot of people I used to interact with frequently, feel trapped outside those doors.

See the reason for my BUT?

That’s why I want to ask you a favour, something I never do in my weekly conversations with you.

HERE’S MY ASK…

If you’re one of the fortunate ones to experience Success…Fortune…Connection…Gratitude in 2021, please pass your blessings onward.

| Paying Your Blessings Forward

>>The greatest gift you can give yourself as a human who is doing even moderately OK in 2021 is to not keep your blessings to yourself. <<<

So if you’re reading this and you come from big corporate, please think about hiring a small business or talented freelancers and pay them their worth.

If there is a child in your community whose parents are no longer working, chances are that child you see every day is hungry. It won’t hurt you to add extra canned goods to your supermarket cart and then give them away.

As for me, I continue to train members of Simplify how build their online systems and automate their revenue steams. I do it at no cost. Their success is my JOY.  Look, I know. You can’t change what is happening with the world, but you CAN change how you show up in it.

I’m not talking vaguely here…I’m talking about REALLY showing up to help, where you can in BIG and little ways.

Maybe this second lockdown or the new variants of COVID-19 (depending where in the world you’re reading this) is forcing us to decide how we approach the future, but for now, in the present, we were made to shine bright in moments of despair by helping others.
