For every person who is active on social media, there are scores of people who just lurk, overthinking what to write, waiting for things to be perfect, afraid to post pictures and say anything.
Today I want to tell you something.
For every person who is active on social media, there are scores of people who just lurk, overthinking what to write, waiting for things to be perfect, afraid to post pictures and say anything.
Today I want to tell you something.
Stop worrying about what other people might say. Stop waiting for your words to be perfect. Stop holding out for a better image or a stronger caption. Just start. Start talking, start writing, start engaging and start building your community.
Look, I know it’s hard.
The judgement from others, the ones who whisper behind your back, but isn’t it funny how they pale in comparisons to your own insecurities.
The voices that tell you that you’re not worthy enough, not young enough, not pretty enough, not skinny enough, not wise enough, not funny enough.
Not enough.
First, with self-acceptance of who you are and the extraordinary gifts you bring to the world and secondly, by embracing your strengths because they make you unique and will allow you to find your voice from a position of abundance rather than scarcity.
Let’s get practical.Â
Instead of watching Netflix at night, go make the thing you’ve been dreaming of. Write that proposal. Start your Instagram account and tell the world about it. Download Pinterest and figure it out. Get on facebook and tell your community what moves you. Do something that feels new but exciting, most of all stop feeling afraid of the very voice (yours) that someone out there is waiting to hear.
