19. It Will Get Better

There was a moment at the start of this year when (I was coming off from being in debt/ started my grieving process after the loss of —– / work was slow, and my anxiety was intense…) where I felt very sad. Very alone.

And I worried that the so-called light at the end of the tunnel wouldn’t come for me.

But it did. And it does.

And if you’re feeling that way as –(this new year begins/ 2023 starts / the next 12 months rolls out) …know that it’s coming for you too.

On the other side of grief is a sense of well-being and a bonus gift of resilience. 🙏🏻✨

You have it in you to —(be sad / grieve /battle anxiety) even as the world spins with joy at this time.

So if you laid in bed last night and cried, it’s ok. Have your moment. I’m just here to let you know that there’s a well-deserved lightness coming. Hope is waiting for you. ✨ It takes time and it will get better.

17. Magical New Year

I can’t begin to tell you how great it was to be out with friends again. After two years of being shut in, celebrating the end of 2022 without a mask, felt special.

When we sang Auld Lang Syne last night I thought about how much beauty and magic there is still left in the world.

How else to explain the entire world coming together on one night to celebrate the hope of a new year?

I hope you were surrounded by love and joy last night. Happy New Year.

13. Best Part Of Christmas

Do/ Does __________ ( the holiday/s/ the current season/ Christmas ) tend to make anyone other than me feel absurdly reflective?

I’m just reveling in __________ [the way it gets dark early/the lights on people’s front lawn as I drive by at night / all the speciality products in the supermarket that only are seen at this time) and trying to decide my absolute FAVORITE thing about this time of year and I think I got it.

__________ (I really can’t lie, for me, it’s the birth of Jesus / the religious aspect of the season/ knowing the reason for the season)

I know we get lost in the fancy gestures of the holidays but giving thanks for his birth is the best reason of all.

Anybody else agree with me?

12. Christmas Memory

It’s the memories that make Christmas magical, do you agree?

As a child on Christmas morning, I used to ____ (wake my parents to open presents before the sun came up/attend church service before seeing what Santa left under the tree/etc.).

Looking back, I remember —(the smells of the ham in the oven, the extra joy that my parents had, the neighbours who stopped by with food and drinks).

Those were the days.

What is your most unforgettable childhood Christmas memory?
