Every year, just before most of us turn on the lights on our Christmas trees, there is another set of lights that illuminates the world. There is a lot to enjoy about the celebration of Divali: the food, the clothing, the happiness, and the culture. Still, it's the message of the festival that I like the most. That good triumphs over evil, that light overcomes darkness, that there will always be new beginnings in life. Happy Divali to all, may the message be ever as strong as its practice, in all faiths across all cultures.
