The Importance Of Rituals

Most mornings you’ll find me here – a creature of rituals & routines (with my morning coffee, walking on the hill /journaling at my desk/ checking in with my various mom/ meditating on my couch).

Isn’t it ironic that it’s the routines, rituals, and disciplines that are our greatest saviours, even when we want to buck that status quo?

My morning routines prepare me for the day ahead _____ (in my studio, at my desk, in my shop).

They create safe structures and baselines and they ease me into the hectic day ahead ______ (dealing with customers / shipping orders / rolling out the new website)

Does that make sense? How do your routines keep you moving forward?

Will It Matter?

This year, I was guilty of letting fear get the better of me from time to time. But here’s a fact, more often than not, the “thing” that I was fearful of, never really happened.
So instead I had to shift my mindset and focus not on fear but on success (for my business, for an increase in my bottom line, etc.) If I didn’t shift my thinking I would not have ____ ( seen a 10 % increase n business / been able to win 2 new clients / been able to weather the storm and open the thriving delivery service for my restaurant )
When fear creeps in, I want you to ask yourself these questions:
Will it matter 10 minutes from now?
Will it matter 10 weeks from now?
Will it matter 10 months from now?
Will it matter 10 years from now?
Perspective. Stop the fear. Build a new narrative instead.

Sometimes it just takes that long to get it right. I’m happy to say the ____________ [video is live /we’ve just restocked after selling out for the holidays/client relations are now my favorite part of the day/etc.] and it’s all made better because I learned from each mistake.
It’s ok to take your time to learn, don’t always put speed before process.
