My Why November 2020

When I started out as a (an) _____________ [chef / photographer/graphic designer/ website company/consultant /etc.], I was honestly _____________ [a complete disaster behind the lens /instantly smitten with delighting clients with good design / loved celebrating life big moments with great food/ just trying to make a good living/etc.].
In the ______ years since that time, I have grown to be insanely passionate about what I do.
I love ____________ [ capturing shadows and light/ creating visual branding/ matching clients with their dream homes, the smiles that come with good food, helping people build their business] more than I ever imagined.
This is the living that I chose and I am thankful.

I’m so thankful I get to do this for a living.

I started my business when I had the _________ [audacity / courage/ confidence] to believe in myself. That belief started with one question: “What if?”
What if _________ [I created an all-natural skincare line for vegans / I took all my art skills and started a supply store that served painters / I opened a French restaurant in the middle of the city/ I turned my passion into profits)?
Once I asked the question it was as if a tap came on. Questions swarmed into my head for_________[weeks/months/years].
______ (I began to bootstrap, I crunched the numbers, I quit a job I never enjoyed). I started slowly but before you know it I founded _______ (name your business).
Once you change the voices in your head so many doors open. When was the last time you asked yourself: “What if?”

How do you make your garden grow? ______ ( I have a green thumb, l love my indoor plants, I am in my garden every day etc.].
There’s something inherently wonderful about taking care of something and watching it grow. Not just with the flowers or plants in my garden but also with my small business.
Years ago I started to put down roots in this business and the soil, water and sunshine that have brought me to where I am are __________, _____________, and ___________ [my supportive team /my women in business group /my faith in God/ my family / my online community/ my husband/ my staff/ my sister etc.].
The roots of my business flourish when it is nourished by these three things and the deeper they grow, the more faith I have that my business will be the success
What elements keep you growing?

Everyone has a light that burns like a fire within. The one thing that made them give up what they were doing and pursue what they loved.
When I think about what lit up the idea for my business I think of two words: _________. _________. [ Love. Design. / Market. Gap. / Baking. Obsession.].
