Mistakes Can Take You Places

Nothing comes easy. Can I have an AMEN if you’re a small business owner and know this to be the truth?

For instance,. I must have _____________ [rewritten the script for my latest online course at least 100 times / thrown out a gazillion designs before being comfortable with my collection / sent a thousand emails and business proposals to get funding for my venture.].

Sometimes we have to do things over and over again to get something right and I can’t begin to tell you how many minutes have slipped away from me just by sitting still in the learning phase.

At the same time—ultimately—I (state your accomplishment/ got it done, right?)

So, when the mistakes I make seek to derail me, I just keep on creating.

Now I’m happy to say ____________ (my course is ready to be launched / the collection is sold out and I’m working on my second / I got the investment and my dream is about to come to life /etc.)

So don’t go knocking yourself out when things aren’t perfect the first time around. Once you learn from the process, those mistakes can take you places you need to go.

I Sell Because I Show Up

Creating ( my new fashion line/ my dining experience/ my new line of …..) is magical for me.

I love the feeling of feeling connected to (state the natural ingredients, inputs, or emotions), that’s definitely one of the big reasons I became a (fashion entrepreneur/ a restauranteur etc.) I get lost in the craft in the best way.

I love sharing my creativity through (my clothing, my food, my etc….) —and if you’re a creative, it’s important you share your work, too!

You don’t have to share most of your work, but you should share it often, whatever that means to you.

I used to be terrible on social media then I recognised two things: as an artist I have to live and 2) if being public means I get more people to understand what I do and experience my work and joy, then so be it.

To never show your work is to deny your (perspective/your art/your creativity) that someone is waiting to receive and it also means getting left behind.

So I sell because I show up. ✨ How about you? Are you a creative? What does sharing your work mean to you? Share a comment below. I learn so much from your stories.

A while ago I remember when crafting wasn’t seem (as valuable / didn’t get respect / etc), I’m glad I persisted though working with my hands has built me a satisfying career and it has touched people in ways I could not have imagined.

But you don’t have to take it from me!

Just listen to what one [client/customer] had to say about their experience: __________ [include a review that supports your claim in the first blank].

So too al the girls wondering if you can build a life and business you love just using your hands, I’m here to tell you, YES, you can.
