It’s Not Perfect

Friends, I don’t want to fool you but right now my life is not looking anything like my FEED.
To put it one word. It’s MESSY, like just got out of bed with my hair undone, creases on my face and disrupted sleep MESSY
But that’s ok because I’m in the trenches figuring out _____ (how to introduce this new part of my website, /working on a new product introduction / getting ready for my launch).
It’s a work in progress and I have to say sometimes I don’t have it all figured out, certainly not this week.
I’ll eventually get to the point where my feed matches my life but right now that isn’t the case. Double tap if you can relate to this and sometimes this is your life too.

Working From Home

Arghhh, I’m having a love/hate relationship with working from home.
Sometimes I __________ [LOVE the freedom to work in yoga pants all day/ love that I don’t have to sit in traffic getting to my office/ enjoy the freedom of doing a morning routine without fuss)

But I miss (my colleagues/ getting outside the house / working without distractions from my children).

How about you, what do you prefer?

My Work Schedule

Everyone’s schedule looks a little different. So today I’m giving you a sneak peak at what 8 hours of work looks like for me. I start work at [time of day you start working],

I’m typically __________ [describe what you look like/wear to work].

The first thing I dive into is __________ [what task you tackle on your computer first], followed by __________ [what task you tackle on your computer second].
I block off time (for lunch/ for exercising in the middle of the day/ to check in with my children/colleagues / to have lunch ) in the middle of the day before heading back to ( describe an afternoon routine).

When I finally hear the sound of the computer shutting down at __________ [time of day you stop working], I may be worn out, but I feel accomplished.

Not every day is like that of course, but when I nail my schedule, I look forward to putting it on repeat!

What does life behind your screen look like?

Feeling Vulnerable

I know we are not as constrained as most countries in the world but this pandemic life has been ___ (taking a toll on me, causing me to feel insecure, chokes my creativity)
Many days when I show up, it’s because I’m struggling with what to say. __ (I can’t write like I used to. I don’t have unique thoughts to share, I feel like I’ve lost my voice)
Sometimes I fear that I won’t get my spark back, that my thoughts and intuition won’t return.
But if there’s nothing else, I just want you to know that if you feel like your shine is gone, that you aren’t alone in wondering if it’ll return.
Please stay strong. I’m right there with you

Feeling Great

Last year I gave myself the rest I needed and craved. It was not intentional. The pandemic forced ____ (a slow down in my business, me to rethink my strategy, me to pivot, but I was confused about where to start).
Maybe I needed the mental reset but now we’re entering the end of the first quarter, I feel energized. I’m working hard but I’m also eating better and my mental strength feels good.
Sometimes you need to dig deep for a reset. How about you? How Ya Doing?

Getting Out Of The Comparison Trap

I was scrolling through ____ (Instagram / Facebook / Linkedin) today and felt down with all the success stories I was seeing on my feed.
Some of the accounts I love watching ____ (have so many followers / are earning 7 figure income / just look so darn beautiful).
I keep wondering when will my turn come? But the reality is I am who I am, and where I am. Plus I know my season is coming.
When I look at my feed, I know I’m not the same person as I was 12 months ago and my content reflects that. I have collected more wisdom, experiences, and I’m so much better at showing up and talking about _____ (my story, my why, my business.)
Everyone struggles with the comparison trap in their mind. We just have to learn to not stay there. Agree?
