Over 70% of small business owners struggle to scale their profit margins because they don’t automate their digital offers.
Yep! I said it.
But as small biz owners, we need to acknowledge that this number should be much lower.
Why?
Because automation is crucial for propelling your digital offer forward.
I can’t say this any other way.
I’m just stating facts.
Now I know that automation is not every small biz owner’s favorite cup of tea.
It’s always placed at the bottom of marketing priorities.
Too often, I’ve come across female founders with a great digital offer, a banging online course, a well-designed membership, service, or product…
But they get limited sales or work nonstop on their offers just to meet profit margins.
But this is not how digital offers should work.
How Digital Offers Automation Works
When you create a digital offer, you need to build systems and automate them so your offer runs on autopilot, without your daily involvement.
Translation?
You set it and forget it.
You get more time freedom, and you can scale your business without added effort.
There’s a trade-off, though.
You need to spend time upfront figuring out which aspects of your offer need systems and where you can automate repetitive tasks.
In my business, there was a period when my team and I were constantly testing automation systems and deciding which software or app was worth investing in.
During that time, we tested different email funnels, sales systems, lead generation automation, and chatbots to see which aligned best with our objectives.
TIP: Most apps have a free trial period, which is a good way to dive in, poke around, and explore.
One example is when we launched the AI Copy Collective, and I saw how I could immediately turn my digital offer into an evergreen product.
Once I determined that was the way forward, I set out to build a robust email funnel consisting of 24 emails.
My team and I wrote and designed the entire system on the backend of MailChimp.
My programmer structured it so that, with a click of a button, it would run automatically.
Did this take time? Sure it did.
HINT: I used the multi-layered prompt from The AI Copy Collective to build the entire email funnel in half the time.
Automating my email funnel ended up being one of the most profitable and time-saving things I could have done in 2024.
Whenever I am ready to reintroduce the AI Copy Collective, I spend one hour adjusting the dates.
Then I turn on the funnel with the intention of driving thousands of new leads to my paid product.
4 Questions to Ask Before Getting Started With Digital Offers Automation
That kind of success wouldn’t have happened without asking:
- What aspect of my workflow should be automated?
- What is the benefit of putting the system in place?
- How much will it cost? Is there a free trial period to test the new system?
- What is the return on my investment in terms of CPC or CPL?
These four simple questions are game-changing.
They force you to look at constraints and opportunities—like where your time is being spent and how your results are being optimized.
The goal is to get off the treadmill of continuously investing time in something that can run without you.

Now that you understand the importance of automation, here are some of my best tips for starting.
My Best Tips for Digital Offers Automation
Identify tasks you can automate: Look for repetitive or routine areas. By automating these tasks, you can build your digital offer, optimize it, leave it alone, and have it bring in recurring revenue for years.
Stay vigilant: “There’s an app or an AI for that.” That’s my mantra. I want it to be yours too because it’ll keep you on the lookout for automation opportunities to optimize operations in your business.
Whenever I’m frustrated by the time something takes, I repeat my mantra and start searching. That’s how I discovered apps like Zapier for connecting all my tools seamlessly, MailChimp for automated email sequences, and ManyChat for messaging automation.
- Be open to new ideas: Most apps make the process easy, and many don’t require technical knowledge. Just be open, curious, and willing to explore. You can also leave much of the setup to your technical team, but I enjoy knowing the basics of how these tools work.
